When you pay for a session or load funds onto your wallet using a credit card or PayPal, the big payment providers (PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, etc.) take a percentage of the transaction as a fee. These fees are often a necessary part of processing payments online, but they do add up quickly. For each credit card or PayPal payment, these companies take around 3.9% + a fixed fee per transaction, and that amount is passed on to us every time you make a payment.
Since we’re a young platform aiming to keep our services accessible and sustainable, these fees create a bit of a balancing act. To ensure we can keep improving our platform, supporting our tutors, and growing our community, we simply pass along these transaction costs as they are. This allows us to stay fair and transparent, and it keeps our platform healthy and active for all users.
Why Do We Offer PayPal and Credit Card Options?
We understand that everyone has different needs and preferences when it comes to payments. Some people prefer the convenience of credit cards, while others use PayPal as their primary payment method. That’s why we chose to offer a range of payment options—to make our platform accessible to everyone, regardless of how they prefer or need to pay. Our goal is to ensure that every student and tutor can use our platform easily and flexibly, without feeling limited by payment methods.
At the same time, we know that these payment methods come with fees that aren’t ideal for everyone. That’s why we’ve also provided an option for fee-free payments.

The good news is, there’s a way to completely avoid transaction fees! If you load your wallet via e-transfer, there’s no processing fee at all. By using e-transfer, you’re bypassing the big payment processors entirely, which means 100% of your funds go directly to your in-store wallet balance with no fees deducted. This way, you have full control over your money and can put every dollar toward the services you’re looking for.
